Ultrasonic testing is an acoustic testing method, primarily for metals, which provides quick and meaningful results regarding material thickness and defects.
Completeness check
During the completeness check, the component to be tested is checked for completeness of the joints.
The joints are colour-coded for this purpose. In the event of deviations, the relevant department/production will be informed immediately.
Subsequently, photographic documentation is created, evaluated and sent to the customer.
Visual inspection
During the visual inspection, various components are checked for a specific characteristic. Various characteristics can be defined. Basically, error characteristics are defined and checked for presence.
The tests can also be applied during series production.
Any deviations shall be reported immediately to the relevant department/production.
A report is then created, evaluated and sent to the customer.
Rivet head end position measurement
In rivet head end position measurement, a measured value is determined using a dial gauge. The different rivets are measured and documented using a specific measuring sleeve and a dial gauge. Those responsible for the process can use the value to optimise the production tools accordingly.
